Nine bags of debris were collected on April 26 by Galena Lions Club members who picked up their designated two-mile stretch of Stagecoach Trail through the Jo Daviess County Adopt-A-Highway program. The club’s mission statement includes protecting our natural environment, assisting with sight and hearing needs for individuals, and donating to community organizations with the profits from the fundraiser Galena Oktoberfest. Helping with the clean-up were, from left, Lisa Schoenrock, Paul Junge, Lenny Hosey, Paula Singleton and Chet Schuler.
