GALENA–Frederick W. “Rik” Fjelde, 82, Galena, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020.

A private family service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, Galena.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, where military honors will be accorded graveside by Galena VFW Post 2665 and American Legion Post 193.

Due to COVID-19 a public celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, where friends may call after 10 a.m. at the cemetery until time of the service.

FREEPORT–Beverly Ellen Dittmar, Freeport, previously of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday Aug. 15, 2020, at Manor Court Nursing Center, Freeport.

A private funeral service will be held with the Rev. Roger Bokkema of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Elizabeth Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Friends Forever Humane Society, Freeport, or to the Elizabeth First Methodist Church, Elizabeth.

SHULLSBURG, Wis.–Duane O. Hastings, 73, Shullsburg, Wis., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020 at his home in Shullsburg.

A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, following the visitation from 9-10:45 a.m. at the Erickson Funeral Home, 235 N. Judgement St., Shullsburg. The Rev. Stanton Bockwoldt of Centenary United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg.

ELIZABETH–Brian James Krug, 58, Elizabeth, formerly of Freeport, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 10, 2020, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law after a year-long battle with cancer.

To honor Brian’s wishes, private family services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Derinda. Cremation rites have been accorded.

BELLAIRE, Mich.–Karen Renae Tosterud was welcomed into the arms of our Savior on Aug. 6 at her home in Bellaire, after a brief struggle with cancer. Family circled her bed.

Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 at Citizens Cemetery, rural Scales Mound. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the cemetery.

The family asks that friends and family wear their favorite sports team attire to the service.

GALENA–Anna Irene Wink, 79, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, formerly of Granville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at Galena Stauss Nursing Home, Galena.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Michael's Cemetery, Galena, and where friends may gather after 10 a.m. at the cemetery until time of the service. In the event of inclement weather, the gathering and the services will be moved to the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. Social distancing and masks will be encouraged.
