41 new COVID cases in JDC this week

GALENA–As of Monday, Jan. 11, Jo Daviess County reported 1,426 COVID cases since the spring. There have been 10 new cases since Jan. 8 and 41 new cases since Jan. 4. This is the most in a week for the county since Dec. 21. Approximately 1,370 of these cases have recovered. There have been 24 deaths in the county due to COVID since the start of the pandemic with no new deaths since Monday.

As of Saturday, Jan. 9, the three highest areas in Jo Daviess County have been 422 cases in the 61036 zip code (Galena), 265 cases in the 61085 zip code (Stockton) and 241 cases in the 61025 zip code (East Dubuque).

Grant County, Wis. has reported 4,260 cases as of Jan. 8, an increase in 119 cases since last week. There have been 77 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Lafayette County, Wis. has reported 1,290 cases, an increase of 47 cases, with five deaths. The census tract that includes Hazel Green and Kieler had 424 cases as of Dec. 20, an increase of 19 since last week. There have been six deaths in that census tract since the start of the pandemic.

Dubuque County, Iowa has reported 11,082 cases and 142 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
