Board opts to reschedule Elizabeth Fair

Posted

ELIZABETH–The Elizabeth Community Fair Board of Directors has rescheduled the 100th Elizabeth Community Fair from July to August.

The tentative dates are Aug. 21-23.

“We believe it is too early to make any decision on cancelling our fair due to the current COVID-19 pandemic but after reviewing the details of Illinois’ phased reopening plan it has become apparent that hosting our fair this July will not be possible,” the board said in a statement. “However, should circumstances beyond our control occur and with the progression of phases, we will have to follow any recommended guidelines set for us. As much as we take pride in our fair and look forward to celebrating our 100th anniversary, our main concern is the safety and well-being of you, our community, volunteers, staff, and board members.”

Updates will be posted on the website and Facebook page.
