COVID climbs; two additional deaths in JDC

GALENA–COVID-19 cases in Jo Daviess County continue to rise as the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 95 new cases since last Monday, the most of any week since the pandemic began in March. The total number of cases in Jo Daviess County is now at 691 cases.

As of Friday, Nov. 6, approximately 520 of those cases have recovered.

IDPH also announced two additional deaths last week, bringing the total to eleven in Jo Daviess County since the pandemic began.

On Nov. 9, the Jo Daviess County Health Department announced that it would be open by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, you must call the health department at 777-0263.
