Richard H. “Dick” Carroll, 74, East Dubuque, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at home surrounded by his family after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time. A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at a later date (to be announced), at which time full military honors will be accorded. A private Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 4. The Rev. Peter Snieg officiated. Burial was in the East Dubuque Cemetery. The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque is serving the family.
