Stockton School District approves memo of understanding

Posted

STOCKTON–The Stockton School Board approved a memo of understanding with its teachers union at its Monday, Aug. 17 board meeting. The memo of understanding ratified laws that have recently been put in place due to the pandemic.

The changes include verbiage that says the district will follow the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which requires employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to the coronavirus.

The memo also included that remote learning days would count as student attendance days and changed the times for staff and student attendance. Staff will work at Stockton from 7:25 a.m. until 2:55 p.m. and students will be in class from 7:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
