GALENA–Tammy Lee, owner of Piggly Wiggly said that the supermarket is limiting quantities of groceries at the store. Lee said that they have limited water and toilet paper to one item per customer and other items in the store will be limited to two items per customer.

“It has been crazy,” said Lee. “People don’t need to hoard things in the manner that they are.”

The store has not changed its operating hours at this time. Another issue that the store has seen is the deliveries being less than average as they haven’t been able to get full trucks to the store. She said that Piggly Wiggly’s corporate group hired independent drivers and trucks on Saturday, March 14 to deliver more goods to the store.

Lee believes that due to the limits that the store is enforcing that their stock of supplies should hold.

“We won’t have a shortage of food,” said Lee.
