JO DAVIESS COUNTY–The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced on Friday, Sept. 18 that Jo Daviess County was one of 24 counties to be placed on the state’s warning list.

This is the third time that the county has been placed on the list, which is the result of two IDPH metric thresholds being exceeded including weekly test positivity, tests performed and new cases.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, the number of positive cases in Jo Daviess County was 244. Of those, 213 of the cases were considered recovered. The county has had two deaths from COVID.
