GALENA–The Small Business Stabilization Grant committee awarded 14 grants worth about $18,000 at its meeting on Tuesday, June 16.
The committee will release the grant for a third round of applications.
Grants were awarded to:
•Emmy Lou’s, Galena–$703.
•The Other Side, East Dubuque–$963.
•Special Touch Salon, Stockton–$628.
•Avery on Prospect Hill, Galena–$2,352.
•Michele’s Hair Boutique, Warren–$1,777.
•Dreams Boutique, Galena–$350.
•Artists and Artisans, Elizabeth–$1,093.
•Galena Leather Company, Galena–$2,500.
•Belle Aire Mansion Guest House, Galena–$1,500.
•Beauty Nail, Galena–$1,963.
•The Kindred Spirit Integrative Health & Well Spa, Galena–$330.
•Pudgy’s, Galena–$2,173.
•Nine Generals Cigar Company, Galena–$1,145.
•George’s Bar & Grill, East Dubuque–$632.
Changes for round three include an amendment to the eligibility requirements for the grant. If a business qualifies for the Paycheck Protection Program, the business owner must have applied for a loan under the Paycheck Protection Program, been denied in writing, or received less than $5,000 in PPP funds.
Those who meet those requirements may now apply for the county’s grant.
