GALENA–Delos John “De” Welp, 87, of Galena, died peacefully from natural causes with his family at his side on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community, Galena.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Galena. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where a scripture wake service will begin at 4 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery where military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 2665 and American Legion Post 193.
