The Elizabeth Community fair celebrated its 101st anniversary last week as it hosted livestock shows, entertainment and a community parade. The River Ridge FFA Chapter was a part of the fair as well as it hosted the Ag Olympics for elementary students. As a part of the Ag Olympics, students had several events for kids ages 4-10 to participate in. There were hoppy horse races, 3-legged races, a water balloon toss, face painting and the very popular freezie-pop giveaway. The FFA students hosted the event with the support of the Elizabeth Community Fair Association. The events were offered during the Kiddie Tractor pull sponsored by the Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau Young Leaders.
