A team of Illinois high school ski racers headed out to Mammoth, Calif., for the Western US High School Championships on March 12-14. Pictured above at the top left, local members of the inaugural team: Coach Carter Flack, Millie Boden, Avery Ziegler, Ella Dodds, Morgan Flynn, Colin Egan and Andrew Scheffler. Boden and Flynn attend River Ridge High School and Dodds and Ziegler attend Galena High School. Egan and Scheffler sprout from further south as Scheffler is a Dixon Duke and Egan is from Prophetstown.
